Camera Permission

Our app uses the device's camera to allow users to capture and upload images for features such as profile pictures, student ID photos, or submitting assignments. These images are only used within the app and are not shared externally unless explicitly allowed by the user.

Notifications

Schoolites may request permission to send you notifications. These notifications are used to provide important updates related to attendance, announcements, homework, or other school-related activities. You may disable notifications at any time from your device settings.

Data Handling for Permissions

All permissions requested by the Schoolites app are used solely to enhance the core functionality of the app. We do not access or use your personal information or device features for any unrelated purposes.

Location Services

Our mobile application uses location services through expo-location and react-native-locations to provide features such as school transport tracking, proximity alerts for school bus stops, and attendance verification. Location data is only collected when necessary for these specific features and is not shared with third parties unrelated to these services. Users can disable location permissions at any time through their device settings.

Payment Processing

We use Razorpay, PhonePe, and Stripe payment gateways to process payments within our application. When making payments, you will be redirected to these secure payment processors. We do not store your complete payment information such as credit card numbers on our servers. All payment transactions are encrypted and processed securely through these third-party payment gateways in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Data Access and School Privacy

We adhere to strict data isolation principles. Schools can only access information related to their own institution, staff, students, and parents. Member information is only visible to authorized personnel within the respective school. School administrators control what information is shared and with whom within their school community.

School profiles are publicly visible by default to allow potential members to discover schools. However, each school has the option to make their profile private through account settings if they wish to restrict public visibility.
